Summary narrative

North Axholme Children’s Centre is located in Crowle in the Isle locality within the ward of Axholme North and part of Axholme Central north of the M180.

An estimated 395 under 5s live in this catchment area which represents 4.5% of all under 5s in North Lincolnshire; nearly a third (31%) of resident women are of child bearing age; and women born outside of the UK are very low in number.
Health outcomes and life expectancy for adult residents of the area are close to average.

Child poverty in the area is low, with under a quarter (23%) of under 5s living in England’s 30% most deprived neighbourhoods; one in five under 16s live in relative low income, nearly a quarter are eligible for free school meals and a low number of households with children claim Universal Credit; the proportion of children claiming disability allowance is above average for North Lincolnshire.

Whilst the general fertility rate and breastfeeding initiation are close to average , births to women of a minority ethnic background, smoking at delivery, births to women under 20 and low weight births are relatively low in number.
