Summary narrative

Brigg Ridge Children’s Centre is located in Brigg and District locality and the catchment area is coterminous with Ridge ward.

An estimated 535 under 5s live in this catchment area which represents 6% of all under 5s in North Lincolnshire; just over a quarter (27%) of resident women are of child bearing age which is the lowest in North Lincolnshire.

The adult population of this area enjoy better than average health with male life expectancy joint highest in North Lincolnshire along with Bottesford and significantly above local and national average figures.

This area has lower than average levels of child poverty with no neighbourhoods falling within England’s 30% most deprived; just one in ten under 16s live in relative low income and one in eight are eligible for free school meals, which are both the lowest in North Lincolnshire.
