The British Youth Council (BYC) Make Your Mark annual youth ballot is an opportunity for young people to vote about issues that matter to them. In 2018, 8202 local young people voted in the ballot. This was 59 per cent of the voting turnout.
The outcomes of the vote informed the topics for North Lincolnshire’s two Great Debate events. The secondary Great Debate was held in November 2018.
The primary Great Debate will take place in June 2019.
These events are an opportunity for local young people to learn about issues that matter to them and discuss their opinions in an open forum. The outcomes of these young voice engagement opportunities shape the business of the Youth Council and Young Voice.
