Suicide Prevention training

Public Health North Lincolnshire Training

As a Public Health Team, we we have brought together a curated range of awareness and training courses to the residents of North Lincolnshire, all of which are aimed at improving both the physical and mental health each of our residents, across the whole region. We do this by developing our own training/ awareness packages which can be flexibly delivered in locations and times to suit a variety of needs. We also facilitate a number of internal and external partner’s training courses. Usually, there is a charge for theses courses but we are pleased to say that we have secured independent grant funding to make delivery of these courses to the residents of North Lincolnshire for FREE.

Within this training menu you will find our current range of available training courses, with information and booking advice for each.

Please Note: If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible, so we can offer the place to someone else. Non-attendance to any training sessions may incur a £50 fee.

We want our training to be accessed by as wide an audience as possible and as there are limited places available across all of our training courses, we kindly ask that individuals only book themselves on to a maximum of 2-3 courses listed in this brochure.

This is to ensure that as many people as possible have access to attending a course of their choice.

Please note that those making too many multiple bookings across courses will have any additional booking(s) voided.

We also ask that you book training only in your own name, and not for colleagues/friends. Please ask them to book using their own details.

If you are a team interested in booking multiple places, please contact adam.brown@northlincs.gov.uk prior to booking to discuss options.

While Men’s Health Week highlights all aspects of men’s health, this training provides an important opportunity to focus on an area where too many men continue to struggle in silence. Workplaces have a vital role to play in creating cultures where conversations about mental health are normalised, support is accessible, and people feel able to ask for help.

This training supports organisations to strengthen their approach to suicide awareness, prevention, and mental wellbeing in the workplace, helping to create safer, more supportive environments for staff.
