As part of Men’s Health Week 2026, North Lincolnshire Council Armed Forces and public Health North Lincolnshire, in partnership with Scunthorpe Rugby Union Football Club (SRUFC), are hosting a special Peer Support Evening for the Armed Forces community.
Men within the Armed Forces and veteran community can often face unique challenges linked to transition, identity, isolation, mental health and asking for support. Creating safe opportunities for connection and conversation is an important part of improving wellbeing and reducing stigma.
This informal evening aims to bring serving personnel, reservists, veterans, family members and anyone with lived experience connected to the Armed Forces community together for connection, conversation and shared experience.
The session will focus on the importance of peer support, mental wellbeing, transition challenges and reducing isolation helping to create safe spaces where people feel able to talk openly and support one another.
