People across North Lincolnshire have been asked to mark a National Moment of Reflection at 8pm on Sunday 18 September to mourn the passing of the Queen.

Taking place the evening before the State Funeral at Westminster Abbey, the National Moment of Reflection will be marked by a one-minute silence.

The silence can be marked privately at home, with friends and family, out on doorsteps or the street with neighbours, or at locally arranged community events and vigils.

Community groups, clubs and other organisations across the country and overseas are encouraged to take part.

The North Lincs Churches Together group will be hosting a candlelit vigil around the fountain in Central Park on Sunday evening.

People are asked to gather at 7.45pm to observe the one-minute silence at 8pm followed by prayers and the singing of the National Anthem.
