As North Lincolnshire moves in Tier 2, here is the latest advice and guidance from Public Health Consultant Jilla Burgess-Allen.
“In the past few weeks unfortunately we have seen the virus spread to a much wider age range across our area and we are seeing our local rate increasing amongst the 60-plus age group. Hospital admissions are steadily increasing as a result,” said Ms Burgess-Allen, adding that rates have increased from a weekly case rate of over 200 per 100,000 compared to 150 the previous week.
“This move to high risk is necessary and will be a preventative measure to stem the spread of the virus and protect our most vulnerable residents.”
“To protect our most vulnerable and to support the local NHS it is critical we all stick rigidly to the guidelines,” she added, saying it was important that we did not “let our guard down”.
