Leisure centres in North Lincolnshire will reopen safely from 25 July following government, public health, and industry body guidance to make sure that when people return to the facilities they can do so in a safe environment.

The Pods, Ancholme Leisure Centre, Axholme North Leisure Centre, Baysgarth Leisure Centre and Epworth Leisure Centre all open on 25 July. Riddings Pool and Winterton Gym will open on 17 August. Swimming pools will open on 3 August (Riddings Pool on 17 August).

Measures have been introduced to protect customers and staff and to ensure social distancing. Gyms have been re-configured to allow a safe distance between equipment and all activities must be booked in advance using our online booking system or by telephoning the leisure centre.

Along with social distancing measures, there will be an increase in the cleaning of buildings and equipment to ensure the highest possible standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

More information on the reopening of the facilities can be found on the leisure centre FAQ page.

All Fitness+ and adult swim memberships that were frozen whilst the leisure centres were closed will be re-activated on 1 September. Until then members will be able to use the facilities free of charge. Until all sites have reopened members on Tier 2 and Tier 3 memberships and casual gym members will be able to use any open leisure centres.

Since the leisure centres closed in March staff have been busy working in different roles supporting the most vulnerable people across North Lincolnshire including arranging the distribution of food and working on the Covid helpline. Staff have also been keeping people active by filming online workouts that were shared on Facebook and providing fitness plans for people who were shielding.
