Mayor of North Lincolnshire Cllr Carol Ross has announced the two chosen charities for her Appeal Fund – Jen’s Special Place and Macmillan Cancer Support Scunthorpe.
The Mayor’s Appeal Fund promotes and supports local charities.
Jen’s Special Place is a bereavement charity for children and young people and offers vital support, workshops, counselling and regular get-togethers for four to 17-year-olds who have lost a loved one.
Macmillan Cancer Support Scunthorpe offers free and confidential advice and information to cancer sufferers and survivors, and their loved ones.
In a new video, Cllr Ross talks about why these charities are so important and we hear from the charities themselves and the vital work they do for the people of North Lincolnshire.
