Local businesses are coming together to make a difference for North Lincolnshire communities – creating opportunities for young people, supporting local charities, and driving growth.
Cllr Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, joined Atrium Businesses for the Community to see first-hand how employers are making a difference beyond the bottom line to deliver real impact in communities.
Cllr Waltham said: “This is exactly the kind of leadership from business that makes North Lincolnshire such a great place to live, work and invest.
“These local employers are creating jobs and wealth, but they’re also giving back – supporting charities, mentoring young people and strengthening communities. It’s a powerful example of what happens when we all work together for the benefit of residents.”
Through the Atrium Charity Foundation, referrals from member businesses mean direct support for local good causes. At the same time, companies are offering mentoring and career opportunities, giving young people the tools to build skills, confidence and future careers.
Cllr Waltham added: “Even in tough times, North Lincolnshire businesses are showing real leadership – creating jobs, driving growth and giving back to their communities.”
Atrium already has 15 businesses involved and more set to join, with their work helping to ensure the benefits of a growing local economy reach people and places across North Lincolnshire.
The group meets every Friday morning from 6:45am to 8:30am at the Wortley House Hotel in Scunthorpe. Email contact@atriumnetwork.co.uk to find out more.
