LiveWell is on tour and coming to a community hub near you!
We have a week-long series of exciting events lined up to help people stay independent and well.
The Live Well: Live tour from Monday 2 October to Friday 6 October will include information, demonstrations and entertainment – everything from chair aerobics to health advice and tips to cut your energy costs.
Highlights include Reminiscence Bags from North Lincolnshire Museum, displays from Age Concern, advice from the police, a live singer, Houghs Travel, advice from the public health team, information about volunteers, the Carers Support Service and Yes Energy Solutions – although, due to space, not every hub will be running all the sessions.
Cllr Rob Waltham, leader, North Lincolnshire Council, urged people to attend the LiveWell tour: “We are absolutely committed to helping residents live happily and healthily at home. This series of events brings together information on how to do that all in one place.
“Even if you just pop along to find out about energy costs or try out a chair aerobics session you will come away armed with positive and inspiring information.”
Cllr Richard Hannigan, cabinet member for adults, health, families and communities, added: “Our local hubs are at the heart of our communities and by running these events there we can reach people who can really benefit from them. Everyone wants to stay healthy and independent – LiveWell: Live has the information needed to do just that.”
Each hub will be hosting different events, but all of them are dedicated to helping people live their best independent life.
