Following the success of the first event last year which saw seven people appointed to the team, the Home First Community Support team is hosting another Job Match Open Day on 23 April at Ashby Community Hub from 10am to 3pm for anyone interested in finding out more about what they do and if there is a role for them.
It is an exciting opportunity to learn more about the team and the range of services they provide for adults across North Lincolnshire.
Home First support people to maintain the ability to live in their own home independently, connected to their community and enables them to reach their full potential by providing a personalised programme of support, tailored to a person’s goals, working on their strengths to enable them to get back to independent living. This may include elements of:
- Rehabilitation to help a person regain physical strength
- Reablement to help a person regain daily living skills and confidence to live independently in their own home.
One of the most rewarding aspects of working within Home First is the opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives. Previous care worker experience is not needed, as all relevant training will be provided.
At the Open Day, the team will be conducting interviews, for anyone who is interested in joining the team, in the form of formal discussions and group discussions to get to know more about people’s qualities and values, to see if they are the right fit for the service.
On the day, you will have the opportunity to meet and talk to existing staff, both managers and front-line workers. They will be on hand to answer any queries/questions you might have around the role and career progression opportunities.
Throughout the event there will be demonstrations and displays showing the day-to-day work that the team do to support those in need.
Several vacancies are currently available, which you can discuss on the day. They are rehabilitation workers (grade 5) and reablement assistants (grade 3). There will also be casual opportunities available for those requiring more flexibility.
For those that would like to apply and interview on the day, safer recruitment procedures would apply including a safer recruitment pre disclosure form. To ensure a seamless application process please bring the following with you on the day:
- Work history including dates
- Experience and personal history details
- Identity documents (passport, driving licence etc)
- CV (if you have one)
