An exciting and rewarding challenge has arisen for people to become members of the North Lincolnshire adoption and fostering panels – helping give children a safe and loving home.

North Lincolnshire Council is looking to recruit new members for the panels. Panel members consider the approval of new adoptive families and foster carers, match children with adoptive families and review continuing suitability of foster carers.

Panel members are expected to commit to attending one meeting per month and to have read all the relevant materials.

There is a particular need for social workers who have three years post-qualifying experience to join the panel. However, people with variety of skills and experiences from diverse backgrounds and a genuine interest in the wellbeing of children are welcomed.

Panel members need to have a personal or professional knowledge of children living away from their birth family.
