A convenient new app has been launched to help customers get the most from their local library service on the go.
The easy to use app is full of helpful features, including the ability to turn a phone into your own portable scanning device for books at designated libraries.
At the touch of a button, customers will be able to:
- Locate their nearest library
- Access their account
- Renew their loans
- Browse the North Lincolnshire Libraries catalogue
- Access e-books and other online services
- Scan a book in a bookshop to find out if their library has a copy
The app is the latest in a long line of accessible features North Lincolnshire Council’s library service has introduced to enhance the experience of customers.
Already, thousands of library users have enjoyed bestselling titles from their electronic devices, thanks to BorrowBox, the council’s e-book and e-audio platform.
Library customers can also read more than 7,000 newspapers and magazines for free through PressReader, which includes popular titles like What Car and BBC Gardener’s World and Good Food.
To download the new app, simply search for ‘North Lincolnshire Libraries’ on your app store of choice.
For more information or support with the app, please email: library.enquiries@northlincs.gov.uk
