Don’t miss your bin day this Christmas

Bins, Waste and Recycling
16:52, Wednesday, 8th December 2021

It can be hard to keep track of the days over the festive period and with three bank holidays, bin and box collection dates will be changing this year.

The week commencing Monday 27 December all collections will move as follows –

Tuesday 28 December collections will move to Wednesday 29 December.

Wednesday 29 December collections will move to Thursday 30 December.

Thursday 30 December collections will move to Friday 31 December.

Friday 31 December collections will move to Monday 3 January.

Bin and box collections will return to normal the week commencing Monday 3 January.

To help us prioritise the waste and recycling collections over the festive period, brown bin collections will be temporarily suspended from week commencing 13 December and will start up again week commencing 10 January.

If you don’t have a collection calendar, check your collection dates on the North Lincolnshire Council website or call the contact centre on 01724 297000.

From now until the end of February, winter opening times are in effect at all eight Household Recycling Centres across North Lincolnshire.

The site at Cottage Beck Road in Scunthorpe is open 8am to 4pm seven days a week. All other sites are open from 10am to 4pm, Friday to Tuesday.

Household Recycling Centres will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
