North Lincolnshire Proud to Care is hitting the road this January with a series of community events aimed at offering local job seekers the opportunity to explore a career in the care sector.

The Proud to Care team along with Adult Social Care employers, will be visiting community hubs to discuss the range of rewarding roles available in the sector, answer any questions about working in care, and offer support so that those that are ready can apply for jobs then and there.

Whether you’re looking to start a career in care or are interested in switching professions, this tour will provide you with the resources to take the next step.

Previous care worker experience is not always needed, as any relevant training can be provided.

Care workers in North Lincolnshire may even be eligible to access a raft of exclusive benefits through Proud to Care, including funded childcare, electric transport from just £10 a month, discounted gym membership and more.

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a care worker, is the opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives. It is the perfect profession for kind and dedicated people who want to make a real difference, helping those who need support to live independently in their own homes

As a care worker, there is the potential to work flexibly around the needs of family, as well as a wealth of opportunities for career progression.

Cllr Richard Hannigan, cabinet member for adults and health, said: “Care is one of the most rewarding sectors to work in, and we want to make it easier for people to access the opportunities available.

“By taking this service directly to local communities, and by having a handy website with all care jobs in one place, we are offering a helping hand to those who are interested in pursuing a fulfilling career in care.”
