North Lincolnshire Music Hub is encouraging dancers or anyone who wants to give it go, to get involved in a virtual flash mob.

The flash mob aims to bring people together in their love of dancing, no matter what their ability is, and encourage people to keep active. Videos are welcomed from dancers, families, people from dance schools or college dance groups – or people who just want to give it a go.

A call was put out for people to choreograph a dance routine for others to learn for the flash mob. The winner, Martha Cheetham, aged 20 from Belton has been chosen from the entries. Her routine, including a step by step guide, will be shared on the North Lincolnshire Music Hub Twitter and Facebook, as well as North Lincolnshire Council’s Twitter and Facebook.

Anyone who would like to take part is asked to video themselves doing the routine and send it to the Music Hub by emailing zoe.butler@northlincs.gov.uk by Wednesday 13 May. All videos will be collated in to one and will be revealed on Friday 15 May.

Once it is safe to do so and social distancing doesn’t apply, everyone who takes part in the virtual flash mob will be invited to get together and do the flash mob for real.
