Barton engineering company turbocharges growth with new machines

Collingwood Engineering, a Barton-based precision engineering firm, has expanded its capabilities with the acquisition of two cutting edge CNC machines thanks to support from North Lincolnshire Council’s business support team.

The investment significantly enhances the company’s machining portfolio and will enable greater efficiency and precision in their operations, whilst also creating more local jobs.

Jason Dear, Collingwood Engineering managing director, said: “Throughout our growth over the last seven years, we have worked closely with the NLC business support team, who have assisted us with our growth with grants that have changed our business substantially over the years. It has enabled us to employ more team members, acquire new machinery and improve the way in which we operate.”

The council’s business support team has been instrumental in helping local businesses like Collingwood Engineering identify funding opportunities and navigate application processes, reinforcing the council’s commitment to local economic growth.
