Hundreds of North Lincolnshire businesses affected by the pandemic will receive a share of £6m of additional Government support.
The cash will be fast-tracked to those businesses most in need of support that have not been eligible for previous Covid-19 relief schemes.
Cllr Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: “The North Lincolnshire economy continues to move from strength to strength, with millions of pounds of investment bringing thousands of well-paid, skilled jobs to the area.
“As we continue to bounce back from the pandemic, however, it is inevitable that some sectors will feel the aftershocks of Covid-19.
“This is recognised nationally, and I know this latest intervention – an additional £6m to support North Lincolnshire businesses – will have a huge impact.
“We have had more than £200m of support through the pandemic and it’s fantastic to see that Government has stepped in again, continuing to help businesses ride out the impact of the pandemic.”
The cash is being targeted to those businesses most impacted by Covid-19 and will be discounted from business rates.
