Why schools close
Schools may be closed in bad weather, or in the event of other emergencies such as loss of heating.
Head teachers will keep schools open wherever possible but circumstances may mean that the decision has to be made to close the whole school, a year group, or specific classes, or amend school start or finish times.

Coronavirus outbreak update – 20th March 2020
The government has issued guidance to schools following the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19).
With effect from Monday, 23rd March 2020 every child who can be safely cared for at home should be.
North Lincolnshire schools will remain open for children of critical workers and vulnerable children.
