Local elections in North Lincolnshire

North Lincolnshire Council operates on a four-year election cycle. The last full council elections were held in May 2023, and the next scheduled elections will take place in May 2027.

As part of this cycle, there are no scheduled local elections in North Lincolnshire in May 2026.

NOTICE OF ELECTION

North Lincolnshire Council – Election of Parish Councillors to Parish Council
ON Thursday, 9th July 2026

Parish – Winteringham
Number of Parish Councillors to be elected – 3

  1.  Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer, North Lincolnshire Council, Church Square House, 30-40 High Street, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, DN15 6NL, during the times stated below, by emailing elections@northlincs.gov.uk or telephone 01724 296245.
  2.  Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer at North Lincolnshire Council, Church Square House, 30-40 High Street, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, DN15 6NL between 10 am and 4 pm on any working day from the date of publication of this notice (excluding bank holidays) but no later than 4pm on Friday, 12th June 2026.
  3. If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 9th July 2026.
  4. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Tuesday, 23rd June 2026 Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
  5. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at North Lincolnshire Council, Church Square House, 30-40 High Street, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, DN15 6NL by 5 pm on Wednesday, 24th June 2026. Applications to vote by post can be made online: www.gov.uk/apply-for-postal-vote.
  6. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5 pm on Wednesday, 1st July 2026, Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate.
  7. Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at North Lincolnshire Council, Church Square House, 30-40 High Street, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, DN15 6NL by 5 pm on Wednesday, 1st July 2026. Applications to vote by proxy can be made online: www.gov.uk/apply-for-proxy-vote.
  8. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at North Lincolnshire Council, Church Square House, 30-40 High Street, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, DN15 6NL by 5 pm on Thursday, 9th July 2026.
