Local Transport Plan 2011-2026

Local Transport Plan 2011-2026

A Local Transport Plan is a statutory document setting out how the local authority will deliver strategic transport improvements over a given period of time.

The third Local Transport Plan (LTP3) is a 15 year document, which is made up of two separate documents:

  • a Transport Strategy and
  • an Implementation Plan.

The Transport Strategy sets out the strategic approach to transport in North Lincolnshire over the next 15 years, whilst the Implementation Plan sets out how the Strategy will be delivered.

The Implementation Plan is a three year document and a new one will be produced every three years.

Local Transport Bodies

Local Transport Bodies (LTBs) were created to take on devolved responsibility for Local Major Transport Scheme Funding.  This is funding that used to come from Government to the Yorkshire and Humber region and is now devolved to Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) boundaries.  Therefore, the Humber LTB is made up of the four Humber authorities (East Riding of Yorkshire, Hull City, North East Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire Councils) and the Humber LEP.

The Humber Local Transport Body was allocated £14.8m for the period 2015/16 to 2018/19.

The following four schemes have been approved for funding from this block:

  • A1079 Holme Roundabout (East Riding of Yorkshire)
  • Bridlington Integrated Transport Plan Phase 2 (East Riding of Yorkshire)
  • Cleethorpes Flyover (North East Lincolnshire)
  • Gauge Enhancements – Immingham to Doncaster (North Lincolnshire)
