Spooky Family Fun Day – Saturday 26 October, 10am to 4pm – 20-21 Visual Arts Centre

Release your inner ghoul at our Beetlejuice-themed Spooky Family Fun Day! Enjoy spine-tingling face painting, get up close with real-life creepy crawlies, and meet the infamous Beetlejuice himself. Plus, jump into a cauldron of arts and crafts. Don’t miss out on the frightful fun and eerie excitement!

Free to attend no booking required.

Spook-tac-ular – Sunday 27 October, 11am to 5.30pm

Our annual, fabulously frightful, Hall-o-ween Spooktacular event takes place Sunday 27 October, and runs from 11am until 5.30pm.

Come and join us for a spine-tingling Spook Walk around the devilishly decorated Rural Life Museum…if you dare! Maybe dress up in your favourite creepy costume to add to the excitement…

There will also be lots of fearsome fun to be had with the 100% Entertainment gang, onstage, keeping all the young ghosts and ghouls entertained throughout the day, with themed games and competitions.

More details are still to be confirmed – so be sure to keep an eye on the Normanby Hall socials for updates.

Full admission price applies, or entry is free to membership holders.

Scunthorpe Christmas Lights Switch On – Saturday 23 November, 12pm to 6pm

Get ready for the most magical event of the year! Our Annual Scunthorpe Christmas Light Switch-On is happening on Saturday, 23 November 2024, from 12pm to 6pm at Queen Elizabeth Gardens, Church Square.

🎅🎶 Expect an afternoon packed with festive fun, live entertainment, and holiday cheer as we light up the town!

Listed below are the Christmas Lights ‘Switch Ons’ happening around the area.

Kirton in Lindsey, Sunday 24 November

Christmas celebrations will begin for the Kirton community on Sunday 24 November from 3pm in the Market Place, High Street, Sylvester Street and Diamond Jubilee Town Hall.

Families are invited to enjoy food, drinks, sweets, gift stalls and so much more both inside the community Diamond Jubilee Town Hall and the Market Place.

Santa will be making his entrance at 4pm inviting children to meet him in his grotto in the Diamond Jubilee Town Hall garden area.

Rides for children will be along Sylvester Street and local shops including the Fish Bar, Old Butchers Bistro, George Bar & Restaurant and award winning No.12 Chocolatier will all be opening late to join in the fun.

The Christmas lights will be switched on at 5pm by the Mayor of Kirton in Lindsey, Cllr Hazel Fox and local children.

Entertainment will be provided by the local Rock Choir, Primary School and Little Enchantments.

Brigg Christmas Market & Light Switch On

Friday 29 November from 4pm.

Barton-upon-Humber Christmas Festival

Saturday 30 November from 12pm.

There will be community stage acts, children’s rides, street entertainment, trade stalls and hot food located on the High Street, Queen Street, King Street and George Street.

Crowle and Ealand Christmas Lights Switch On

Saturday 30 November from 4pm in Crowle Market Place.

Come and join us for a fantastic evening of fun and a very special visit from Father Christmas – topped off with switching on 1000s of lights to brighten up our local areas for the festive season. Follow us on Facebook.

Belton Christmas Lights Switch On

Saturday 7 December from 4pm.

Christmas Market at the All Saints Centre, fun fair at The Crown Inn and pizza van and karaoke. Follow us on Facebook.

Normanby Hall Christmas Market – Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December, 10am to 4pm

Our most popular event of the year is back again for 2024, and there will over 150 traders attending, from around the region, selling a variety of amazing items and a wide selection of tasty hot and cold food.

Helping to get you in the festive mood, we will have live Christmas music ringing out around the Park, as you browse the stalls…and for even more festive music you can call in at the Hall, where you’ll be able to hear Christmas Carols being performed by our pianist.

This fantastic festive experience can be enjoyed between 10am and 4pm, on both Saturday 7 December and Sunday 8 December.

This event is free to membership holders, otherwise, only a car parking charge applies.

Breakfast or Afternoon Tea with Santa

30 November, 14, 20, 21 and 23 December

Breakfast served 9am to 11.30am.

Come and enjoy a ‘Ho-Ho-Ho’ hearty breakfast with Santa, a seasonal story with Mother Christmas and receive a personalised gift, before seeing Santa’s deer being fed.

Afternoon Tea from 2pm to 4.30pm

Come and enjoy a scrumdiddlyumptious afternoon tea with Santa, a seasonal story with Mother Christmas and receive a personalised gift.

Each child will receive a personalised invitation as well as a gift related to their hobbies and interests.
