Winter health pop-ups are coming your way

The colder weather is on its way, but North Lincolnshire Council and partners have got you covered.

Join health professionals at a series of winter health pop-up events and get the tips, tools, and support you need to stay well throughout the colder months.

  • Parkinson Avenue Mosque, Scunthorpe on Friday 5 December, between 12pm and 2.30pm.

At the Parkinson Avenue Mosque event, eligible adults will be able to get their flu jab (administered by a pharmacist) and Vaccination UK will be on hand to vaccinate school-aged children, as well as information and support.

With the winter months often bringing an increase in respiratory illnesses and other health issues, the events will provide valuable information and resources to help the community.

They will also highlight the importance of social connection during winter. Engaging in social activities can benefit mental health, especially when colder weather and shorter days can leave some people feeling isolated. Attendees will have the chance to take part in activities, meet others, ask questions, and access practical tips on staying well through the season.
