Our libraries

Christmas and New Year opening times

Ashby, Barton, Brigg and Scunthope Central libraries will close at 2pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, and will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. They will remain open as usual for the rest of the period.

Crowle Library will close at 1pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, and will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. It will remain open as usual for the rest of the period.

Bottesford, Epworth, Haxey, Kirton, Messingham, Park, Riddings and Winterton libraries will all be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. They will remain open as usual for the rest of the period, except for Riddings Library which will also be closed on Saturday 29 December 2018.

Broughton Jubilee Library will be closed from Christmas Eve to New Year’s Day inclusive, and will open again on Wednesday 2 January.

Goxhill Community Library will be closed from Christmas Eve to New Year’s Day inclusive, and will open again on Friday 4 January.

 

We are responsible for one central library (Scunthorpe Central ) and 15 branch libraries. These all provide an extensive range of services to their local communities.
