Many schools across North Lincolnshire are open to enable key workers to carry on working knowing their children are safe and supported in the school environment, and some are remaining open over the Easter holidays.

Hundreds of children have been attending schools across North Lincolnshire since the government announced schools would close except for providing support for vulnerable children and children whose parents are critical to the Covid-19 response.

All schools across North Lincolnshire are working together to provide this valuable support for families. Some schools are closed, however plans have been put in place for children to attend alternative schools.

Over the Easter holidays many schools will continue to be open for normal working days, some are open on the bank holidays and a few have decided to open over the Easter weekend (Saturday and Sunday) based on the need for childcare for essential workers locally.

Arrangements are in place to ensure vulnerable children and children of key workers who need to attend school are able to. Schools will keep their families informed of these arrangements if their child will need to attend a different school.
