Make a difference close to home

North Lincolnshire Council is continuing its work to increase the number of local foster carers, helping ensure children and young people can stay close to their communities, schools, and support networks.

Fostering is about providing stability, care and support to children who need it most -and helping them thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.

There is a particular need for foster carers who can care for:

  • sibling groups
  • older children
  • children and young people with more complex needs

Increasing the number of in-house foster carers means more children can remain living locally, something that continues to be a priority across North Lincolnshire.
