Care Call

Information about assistive technology to help with independent living including personal alarms, pendant alarms, sensors for monitoring movement, reassurance and reminder calls, key safes and more.

Care Call scam

We have been made aware of a company claiming to be part of the Telecare service who contacted a lady and tried to get various details from her and informed her she needed to buy a new pendant alarm. A relative intervened and the call was ended.

If you receive a call that you were not expecting, end the call and press your pendant alarm to contact us direct at North Lincolnshire Council Care Call where we will reassure you if it was the council trying to contact you.

The number that made the call was 0203 769 3291. This number came up on Google and it shows it has been searched numerous times and lots of reports of similar stories and harassment.

Peace of mind at the touch of a button

We know how important it can be for you or a loved one to keep their independence. That’s why we offer a range of services to provide emergency help, as well as contact and reassurance.

Our simplest system gives you the reassurance of knowing that help is always at hand should you need it.

The Care Call system is easy to install and even easier to use.

You simply wear a pendant – on your wrist, around your neck or on a belt or brooch clip – and we do the rest.

If you need help, just press the pendant wherever you are in your home or garden. Our experienced operators will make sure help is on its way, even if you can’t talk to them directly.

The pendant links remotely to one of our alarm units. The alarm unit connects to our 24 hour monitoring centre in Scunthorpe through your phone line (it won’t affect your phone).

Our other services:  Click the headings below for more information:

Care Call is your local expert provider of personal alarms and Telecare, bringing care and support into your home. We will give you independence and freedom to live your life by providing non-intrusive support.

Our services include:

  • Alarm response to ‘pendant’ call system
  • Telecare – remote monitoring of a range of sensors
  • M-Call – support, advice and reassurance via mobile phone
  • Reassurance and reminder calls

Based locally, and provided by North Lincolnshire Council, the Care Call service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

A wide range of safety sensors and alarms can be fitted within your property to monitor a variety of different things. When activated, they make an emergency call or send a text to a contact of your choice, for example a carer or our call response centre.

Using the same technology as the Care Call pendant system, our sensors trigger a call for help in response to specific sensors. For example, sensors to detect smoke or carbon monoxide, falls, open doors, flooding and many more.

Sensors work automatically and our operators will know straight away what’s wrong and call an appropriate person to help if necessary.

The service might be particularly useful for people with long-term health problems, sensory or learning difficulties, are frail or elderly, or who simply need reassurance.

We can even provide a key safe so that the emergency services can get in, even if you can’t get to the door.

Our receivers act as the centre point of your care system, connecting your pendant and sensors to our 24 hour control centre through your telephone line (it won’t affect your phone).

You can also use it to talk to our operators if you need assistance.
