Managing a long-term health condition

The Expert Patients Programme (EPP) is a six week course for anyone living with long-term health conditions. The EPP aims to help you take more control of your health by learning new skills to manage your condition better on a daily basis.

The course looks at a variety of topics including:

  • dealing with pain and extreme tiredness
  • coping with feelings of depression
  • relaxation techniques and exercise
  • healthy eating
  • communication with family, friends and health professionals
  • positive planning for the future
