Residents across North Lincolnshire can take the next step towards a brighter future at the Jobs Expo Plus, coming to the Baths Hall, Scunthorpe, on Thursday 2 October 2025, 10am to 3pm.

The ever-popular Jobs Expo is back – but this time it’s a Jobs Expo Plus. As well as the usual hundreds of live vacancies from local employers, visitors will find practical support to move forward in their careers, whatever stage they are at.

Cllr Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: “This is about much more than matching vacancies with jobseekers – it’s about giving people the full package of support they need when thinking about their future.

“Whether it’s retraining, financial advice, or health and wellbeing support, we want everyone to leave feeling more confident and better prepared for the opportunities ahead.”

The event is designed to help residents build their careers, boost their skills and gain confidence.

Alongside businesses recruiting now and, in the months ahead, there will be advice and guidance on:

  • Retraining and work experience
  • Managing money and accessing pensions
  • Mental health and wellbeing support
  • Careers guidance and confidence-building

The Expo is open to everyone, from people currently out of work to those looking to progress their career, or anyone facing redundancy and exploring new options.

Cllr Waltham said: “There will lots of opportunities for young people taking their first steps into the world of work, particularly for those who’ve just left college and decided university wasn’t for them.

“There are plenty of live opportunities for them to launch their career here in North Lincolnshire.”

At the last Jobs Expo, more than 700 people attended – with four out of five attendees going on to apply for jobs they discovered on the day. Employers saw real results too, meeting hundreds of potential recruits and getting dozens of applications.

The Jobs Expo Plus is free to attend. Just turn up on the day and explore the opportunities on offer.
