North Lincolnshire Council has awarded £6,720 to the North Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre to install a cutting-edge security system, protecting priceless aviation artefacts and ensuring the site remains safe and welcoming for all.
This investment is part of the council’s ongoing mission to preserve local heritage and empower community-led initiatives.
Cllr Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: “Protecting our past is key to inspiring future generations. This funding gives the centre the tools it needs to safeguard its treasures and continue sharing North Lincolnshire’s proud aviation story.”
“It’s another example of how we’re backing grassroots projects that celebrate our heritage and strengthen our local identity.”
The centre plays a vital role in commemorating the region’s aviation legacy, offering hands-on learning experiences and engaging exhibits for all ages.
