The bus will then leave Westwoodside to travel to Doncaster with the last journey through at 3:45pm. It will return from Doncaster at 9am, with the last departure time back to Scunthorpe at 5.30pm.

Service 398 will depart from Belton at 9.45am on Tuesdays and now Fridays also, arriving in Gainsborough at 10.47am, stopping at different locations along the way including Epworth, Haxey, Westwoodside and Owston Ferry. It will return from Gainsborough at 1.10pm and arrive in Belton at 2.11pm.

The improvements to the bus service 398 will start on Friday 4 April and bus service 399 changes started from Monday 7 April.

Cllr Tim Mitchell, cabinet member for connectivity, said:

“I am delighted to see improvements continuing to be made to bus services across North Lincolnshire. Many residents rely on public transport to connect with friends and family, access health services, get to and from work and to do their shopping.

“These changes to bus services 399 and 398 will make a difference for people living in Scunthorpe and the Isle of Axholme to get to places like Doncaster and Gainsborough.

“We will continue to look at bus services across the county and identify ways further improvements can be made.”
