Police and Crime Commissioner Jonathan Evison said:

“I’m delighted to be sponsoring this year’s North Lincolnshire Armed Forces Day, as part of my work I provide funding to help forces veterans who find it difficult to adjust to civilian life after their service.

“This event is a great opportunity to thank all our servicemen and women and also to recognise those who have served in the past.”

Cllr Elaine Marper, Armed Forces Champion for North Lincolnshire Council said:

“North Lincolnshire Armed Forces Day is always a wonderful free day out for the family. This year is set to be no different, with even more for all the family to get involved in – including a children’s arena.

“As ever, we are delighted to show our support for our brave servicemen and women. The event recognises the important contribution our armed forces have made and continue to make to our country, and we thank them wholeheartedly for their service.”

Parking is available at UCNL. Disabled parking is available at the sports ground itself.

Former and current members of the armed forces are invited to march in the parade at North Lincolnshire Armed Forces Day on Saturday 18 June 2022.

A short parade will take place from Brumby Hall Sports Ground to start the event. Refreshments will be provided after the parade for those taking part.

If you would like to be part of the parade, or would like more information, please contact North Lincolnshire Council’s events team on events@northlincs.gov.uk.

Bag checks will be carried out throughout the day when people enter. Dogs are not allowed to the event except service dogs.

Armed Forces Day is part of North Lincolnshire Council’s commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant, having been awarded Gold in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Awards in 2020.
