Sentex Hydraulix, a Scunthorpe-based family run business, was awarded cash from the first round of the UK Shared Prosperity Funding for a digital marketing project.

The local business aimed to increase its digital presence by producing a short professional video to showcase their full offer to customers at the click of a button.

The £3,000 project was backed with £1,500 Government cash.

Karl Brown, Business Development & E-Commerce Manager at Sentex Hydraulix, said: “We are a small SME, so receiving the UKSPF funding came as a huge benefit to our business and enabled us to move forward with the project.

“We were supported to confidently develop and grow the business by exploring new markets.

“We would like to say a big thank you to North Lincolnshire Council in helping our business to grow and develop.

“Without their assistance this would not have been possible.”

Since the Scunthorpe-based business launched its promotional video, their customer base has expanded, and revenue has increased.

It enables customers, both new and old, to explore their offer in more detail and find products and services they didn’t realise were available.

The increased level of business led Sentex Hydraulix to recruit another member of staff within the workshop to help manage the growth in demand and now have a second onsite engineer van.

Cllr Rob Waltham, leader, North Lincolnshire Council, added: “Sentex Hydraulix is another great example of how the cash is enabling businesses to grow and develop.

“This type of funding and support from the Government proves vital for those wanting to level up and ensure their business is sustainable for years to come.”
