1. I pay direct debit, what will happen?

We have frozen all monthly direct debit payments on a month by month basis. Payments will be adjusted on your behalf. This will not affect your ‘price for life’ guarantee whilst the direct debit agreement is active.

2. I took out a year’s membership, what will happen?
The period that we are closed while our staff are helping to protect the vulnerable members of the community will be added to your membership when we re-open.

3. Are all programmes, classes and activities cancelled?

We will be re-opening facilities on a phased programme in accordance with government guidance.

Normanby Hall Golf Course has re-opened and memberships have been reinstated.

We are running group fitness classes outdoors for up to five people. These classes must be booked in six week blocks. Because all memberships remain frozen the classes will need to be booked and paid for in advance using the online booking portal on our website.

There is currently no access to leisure centres, so no toilet or changing provision.

4. What will happen regarding courses that have already been paid for? Swimming lessons or trampolining, for example?

Any sessions that have already been paid for will be credited once the facilities re-opens.

5. How can I stay active whilst the facilities are closed?

Facebook workouts

Our fitness instructors have been posting workout videos whilst our facilities have been closed. You can find these on the NLActive leisure centre Facebook pages.

Les Mills on Demand

We have partnered with Les Mills on Demand to offer a free 60-day trial of the platform, and a reduced monthly membership fee following your trial. Les Mills on Demand has over 1000 workouts across 13 programmes, ranging from 15 to 55 minutes duration. For more information and to sign up visit the Les Mills website.

Sport England Join the Movement

The Join the Movement platform has lots of advice and inspiration on how to stay active at home with workouts from content providers such as Joe Wicks (The Body Coach), FiiT, Nike Training Club and NHS.

There’s also latest advice on getting outside, with tools to help you make the most out of the fresh air during your exercise. Find out more at the Sport England website.

6. What about private bookings for facilities like 3G?

All bookings will be cancelled and payments refunded.

7. I would like to cancel my membership, what do I do?

Your normal terms and conditions apply. Cancellations with be dealt with as soon as possible. Please email: memberships@northlincs.gov.uk

8. Will there be a refund on direct debit payments already taken out of accounts?

The last date any money should have been taken out by direct debit is 1 March 2020. Any payments collected in error from 1 April 2020 will be refunded or credited at a later stage until direct debit payments are unfrozen.

9. I have a birthday party booked and paid for. What do I do regarding a refund?

You will be contacted by a staff member to confirm the cancellation of your party and will be given a full refund. Any party bookings after April will depend on when facilities re-open. All bookings during our closed period will be refunded.

10. My membership comes directly out of my wages, will that still happen?
Unfortunately we were unable to stop the deduction being taken from pay on 28 March as payroll had already been run. This payment will now cover the first month after the facilities open.
