Safe reopening of leisure centres

Leisure centres and Covid

On 19 July we entered step four of the national covid recovery roadmap. This means that certain things can be relaxed, but we’re still operating safely and making sure that the health of our customers and staff remains our priority.

Masks are no longer mandatory in our buildings, but we ask that you continue to wear them in circulation areas. Likewise, you don’t have to check in to buildings, but we encourage you to do so. The 2 metre rule is being relaxed, but we are continuing to provide larger spaces between people and equipment than previously. Our one way systems have been removed, but our sanitiser stations will remain. We have increased the capacity of swimming pools, gyms and classes to 70%. This will increase to 100% in September. This is to ensure that people still feel safe when visiting our facilities. All changing and shower facilities are open, but our health suites remain closed.
