Care Call users urged to beware of scam

North Lincolnshire Council is asking Care Call service users to beware of a scam.

A service user received a phone call from a company, who told her that the Care Call pendant alarm service provided by North Lincolnshire Council is obsolete and will be going out of business and the service will be cancelled. This is entirely false.

The caller then tried to get the service user to sign up to another service for £39.99 a month.

If you receive a call that you were not expecting, end the call and press your pendant alarm to contact us direct at North Lincolnshire Council Care Call where we will reassure you if it was the council trying to contact you.
