Outdoor markets in Ashby and Brigg will reopen from Thursday 4 June, with social distancing measures in place to protect customers and stallholders.

People are urged to stay alert and follow the instructions that are displayed when supporting the businesses.

Before returning to trading, each stallholder has completed a Covid-19 risk assessment to ensure they have taken the necessary steps to implement Government guidance to operate safely.

More space has been created at Brigg Market with stalls repositioned to provide customers with more space when queuing. Traders at Ashby Market will ensure they sell their goods within the parameter of their stall to allow sufficient space for people to queue.

Additional measures, including floor markings and signage, will also be displayed, offering advice to customers. Staff will be on hand at both markets, monitoring social distancing and volumes of people to ensure that people remain safe.
