More than two weeks left to nominate community champions in North Lincolnshire

With more than two weeks left to nominate for the 2019 Community Champion Awards, North Lincolnshire Council is encouraging people to nominate heroes in their communities.

The closing date for nominations is 6 October 2019.

Now in its eighth year, the Community Champion Awards is taking place on Thursday 28 November 2019 at The Baths Hall in Scunthorpe.  

Do you know someone who is a true inspiration to others?

There are four awards in the inspiration category sponsored by Paul Fox Estate Agents:

Young Carer of the Year sponsored by Paul Fox Estate Agents
Nominate a young person who provides care for an adult or child with additional needs. The person they care for does not have to be a family member, it could be a friend or neighbour.

Adult Carer of the Year sponsored by Marjara Care Group
Nominate an individual who provides care for an adult or child with additional needs. The person they care for does not have to be a family member, it could be a friend of neighbour, for example a foster carer.

Act of Bravery sponsored by Humberside Fire and Rescue Service
Nominate a group or individual of any age who has courage or displayed courage, resolution or daring in the face of danger or adversity.

Lifetime Achievement sponsored by Pepperells Solicitors
Nominate an individual who over their lifetime has demonstrated extraordinary levels of commitment and dedication that has resulted in significant achievements for them personally or for their organisation, community or charity.

  • Community Project of the Year sponsored by G S Kelsey Construction
  • Community Sports Team of the Year sponsored by Active Humber
  • Outstanding Contribution to Tourism sponsored by Know Media
  • Anti-Bullying Champion sponsored by Kapil Care
  • Young Arts Heritage Achiever of the Year sponsored by BRR Law
  • Sports Achiever of the Year sponsored by Hornsbys Travel

“Residents in North Lincolnshire have just over two weeks left to nominate unsung heroes in our communities for a 2019 Community Champion Award. The awards celebrate all the amazing people in our area who go above and beyond to help others and achieve great things.

“The Community Champion Awards is a highlight of the year for me. It is always an honour to read all the brilliant nominations we receive and help make sure that heroes in our communities get the recognition they deserve.
