Families in North Lincolnshire are keeping safe and well at this challenging time, enjoying the extra time together and getting support from family and friends if needed.

For some families however, the restrictions will be difficult and extra help may be needed.

If you or someone you know needs help and advice, if you are worried for you or your family, or if you have concerns about a child or family near you, services and support are still available.

You can find out more information on the council’s services for children and young people webpages and Family Information Service webpages which has lots of local, up to date information.

If you are a child or young person and need help, you should speak to a trusted adult or a professional you already know.  There is also lots of online information, which you can find below:

  • Children and young people can get support about their concerns online from Childline or by calling 0800 1111.
  • The NSPCC website has information on preventing abuse and helping those affected to recover.
  • If you are concerned about grooming and child sexual exploitation, there is more information on the Not In Our Community website.
  • TheThinkuknow website has advice on how children and young people can stay safe online.

If you are concerned that a child is at risk of harm, or is being harmed, you should contact the council’s Single Access Point on:

  • 01724 297000(9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 9am to 4.30pm Friday)
  • 08081 689667(free phone)
  • 01724 296555(answerphone – out of hours and at weekends)

If a child is at immediate risk, you should call Humberside police on 999 in an emergency or on 101 for a non-emergency.
