Free parking

You get two hours free parking in all of our car parks and free parking every weekend – giving you plenty of time to explore our markets in Ashby, Scunthorpe and Brigg.

St John’s Market opened in 2019 and is located close to Scunthorpe bus station on one of the main pedestrianised thoroughfares in the town centre. It also adjoins The Parishes multi-storey car park next to the Vue cinema.

A large range of stalls include clothes and bags, antiques and collectables, babyware, butchers, freshly baked goods including cakes and bread, a range of gifts and accessories, and much more.

Facilities include free public wi-fi, communal seating areas and public toilets.

St John’s Market Food Court

The Food Court can be found on the first floor and includes dine-in and takeaway options with cuisine from around the world, including Indian, fish and chips, fried chicken, smashed burgers, and a dessert bar.

The food court is also available for takeaways on Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo.

Parking: Two hours free parking is available in the Parishes multi-storey car park, and parking is free after 2pm and on weekends. There is direct access to St John’s Market from level two of the multi-storey car park over the Sky Bridge.

Food Court: Late night food services available Wednesday until 8.30pm and Thursday to Saturday until 9pm.

This popular outdoor market is situated on Ashby Broadway and offers everything from homemade cakes to fresh fish and fruit and veg.

Ashby Market is well known for cut flowers and beautiful bouquets and you can find a large range of reasonably priced cosmetics. There are also a wide variety of local cafes nearby.

Brigg Farmer’s Market

This award-winning market in Brigg is held on the fourth Saturday of every month and attracts visitors from far and wide ready to sample the best of what North Lincolnshire has to offer.

Locally reared meats are available on the market in the form of sausages, joints, steaks, burgers, sausage rolls and homemade pies.
You will also find Lincolnshire cheeses, traditional jams and chutneys, a wide selection of cakes and sweets as well as international cuisines.

Brigg street markets

Brigg’s traditional street market takes place every Thursday. You will find fresh fruit and veg, flowers, plants and fresh fish.

The arts and crafts market is held in every second Saturday of the month in Brigg Market Place. It is filled with beautiful handmade items, from furniture and jewellery, to décor and artworks.

Brigg Indie market

The Indie Market, also known as Totally Locally Indie Market – Brigg was created by residents and small businesses within the town to showcase what local businesses have to offer.

There is a range of stalls selling artisan products and delicious foods, often accompanied by live music.

The Indie Market runs every third Saturday of the month, in Brigg Market Place.
