Council Tax enquiries

Tell us you’ve moved

Any change of circumstances, which may affect your liability for Council Tax, including changes of address, must by law be notified to us within 21 days.

You can complete our online Change of Address form to do this. You do not need a reference number to complete the form and you do not need to print the form out.  If you were not previously liable for Council Tax you can still fill the form in.

Rented property – Where it asks for your tenancy end date, please enter the date you are liable to pay rent up to.

Alternatively, you can contact us by email on counciltax@northlincs.gov.uk or call us on 0300 3030164.

Register to vote at your new address

You also need to register to vote at your new address.  You can do this on the Government website.

Alternatively, you can email elections@northlincs.gov.uk or call 01724 296245 to register to vote in North Lincolnshire.

Worried about unpaid Council Tax?

Speak with our Debt Management section.

It is important that you contact us if you are in arrears with your Council Tax account.  This gives us a chance to work together to clear the debt.  Arrangements can be made for you to pay weekly, fortnightly or monthly.  If you are not sure how much you can afford please complete our online income and expenditure form:

For help with budgeting and managing your money please use the independent online budget planner at The Money Advice Service.
