ID card and badge supplier, Infocus ID have relocated to a new premises thanks to a £64,424 grant through North Lincolnshire Council’s LEADER programme.

Infocus had been operating from their previous base on Midland Road in Scunthorpe for around five years and needed extra space to expand the business. This LEADER grant has helped them refurbish and move into a vacant unit in Broughton, just outside Scunthorpe.

Infocus ID Sales and Marketing Manager, Matthew Sanders, said:

“The programme has allowed us to move into premises that will ensure our growth continues. As we expand into new markets and employ more people, Infocus will remain in North Lincolnshire for a long time to come thanks to the help we have received.”

The family-run business supply ID and badge printing machines for businesses and organisations across the UK, Europe and around the world. They provide card printers for schools, care homes, government departments, hotels, councils – including North Lincolnshire Council, and many others.

At the end of 2018, the company were awarded Best Import and Export Company at the Business Excellence Awards, and were shortlisted in the 2019 Northern Lincolnshire Business Awards for the International Trade Award.

Cllr Rob Waltham, Leader of North Lincolnshire Council, visited the business at their new Broughton premises. He said:

“Infocus ID is a perfect example of how small businesses can thrive in North Lincolnshire and take advantage of the space we have to grow. I’m proud that we’ve been able to support their growth as a council through this grant.

“The company employs local people – including an apprentice from Brigg – and it is hoped that by relocating to this larger space, they will be able to grow and even expand the number of jobs on offer.

“It is vital that we support our small and medium enterprises however we can and ensure they have the right conditions to continue to grow. Such businesses are the backbone of our local economy and we have the infrastructure, workforce and skills needed to support them right here in North Lincolnshire.”
