Christmas opening times across North Lincolnshire Council

Customer Contact Centre

The council’s Customer Contact Centre will be open from 8.30am to 2pm on Christmas Eve; closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day; open from 8.30am to 5pm on 27 December; open from 8.30am to 4.30pm on 28 December; open from 8.30am to 2pm on 31 December; closed on New Year’s Day; and then open as normal from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

Leisure Centres and activities

The Pods is open from 8am to 4pm on Christmas Eve; closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day; open from 9am to 6pm on 27 and 28 December and open from 9am to 4pm on 29, 30 and 31 December; closed on New Year’s Day; and open as normal from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

Ancholme Leisure Centre is open from 8.30am to 3pm on Christmas Eve; closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day; open from 8.30am to 3pm on 27 December and 8am to 3pm on 28 December; from 9am to 3pm on 29, 30 and 31 December; closed on New Year’s Day; and open as normal from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

Baysgarth Leisure Centre is open from 9am to 3pm on Christmas Eve; closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day; open from 8am to 3pm on 27, 28, 29 December; from 9am to 3pm 30 and 31 December; closed on New Year’s Day; and open as normal from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

Epworth Leisure Centre is open from 8.30am to 12pm on Christmas Eve; closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day; open from 8.30am to 12pm on 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31 December; closed on New Year’s Day; and open as normal from Wednesday 2 January 2019 .

Riddings Pool is open from 7am to 3pm on Christmas Eve; open from 8am to 1pm on 27 and 28 December; closed on 29 and 30 December; open from 8am to 1pm on 31 December; closed on New Year’s Day; and open as normal from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

Winterton Gym will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day; open 1pm to 8pm on 27 December; open from 11am to 8pm on 28 December; open from 10am to 2pm on 29 December; closed on 30 and 31 December, and New Year’s Day; and then open as usual from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

Axholme North Leisure Centre is open from 12pm to 4pm on Christmas Eve; closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day; open from 3pm to 6.30pm on 27, 28, 29 and 30 December; open from 12pm to 4pm on 31 December; closed on New Year’s Day; and open as normal from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

Swimming lessons at our leisure centres will end on Sunday 23 December 2018 and start back up on Monday 7 January 2019.

Normanby Hall Golf Course will be open every day except Christmas Day.

Active Lifestyle (including Street Sport, On Target and Do Something Different) sessions will finish on Friday 21 December 2018 and start again on Monday 7 January 2019.

Cultural venues

The gift shop and café at Normanby Hall Country Park will be open from 10.30am to 3pm on Saturday 24 December; from 10.30am to 4pm on 27, 28, 29 and 30 December; and from 10.30am to 3pm on Sunday 31 December. The café and gift shop will be closed on bank holidays and reopen as normal from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

The grounds of Normanby Hall Country Park are open every day over the Christmas period from 9am to 5pm. The walled garden is open from 10.30am with last entry at 3.30pm.

North Lincolnshire Museum will open from 10am to 3pm on Monday 24 December and close until Wednesday 2 January 2019 when it will open as normal.

20-21 Visual Arts Centre will be open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 22 December and then reopen after Christmas on Wednesday 2 January 2019.

Brigg Tourist Information Centre is open from 10am to 3pm on Christmas Eve; closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day; open from 10am to 3pm on 27, 28 and 29 December; closed on 30 December, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day; and then open as normal from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

Waters’ Edge Visitor Centre will be open from 9am to 3pm on Christmas Eve; closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day; open from 10am to 4pm on 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 December and 1 January 2018; and then open as normal from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

The Honey Pot Café at Waters’ Edge will be open from 10am to 2.30pm on Christmas Eve; closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day; open from 10am to 3.30pm on 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 December and 1 January 2018; and then open as normal from Wednesday 2 January 2018. Please note that the café stop taking food orders 30 minutes before they close.

Libraries

Ashby Library will be open from 9am to 2pm on Christmas Eve; closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day; open from 9am to 4pm on 27 and 28 December; open from 9.30am to 12pm on 29 December; closed on 30 December; open from 9am to 2pm on 31 December; closed on New Year’s Day; and then open as normal from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

Barton Library and Brigg Library will be open from 9.30am to 2pm on Christmas Eve; closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day; open from 9am to 5.30pm on 27 and 28 December; open from 9am to 1pm on 29 December; closed on 30 December; open from 9.30am to 2pm (Barton) and 9am to 2pm (Brigg) on 31 December; closed on new Year’s Day and then open as normal from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

Bottesford Library will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day; open 10am to 1pm on 27 December; open from 2pm on 5pm on 28 December; open from 10am to 1pm on 29 December; closed on 30 and 31 December and New Year’s Day; and then open as normal from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

Broughton Library is closed over the Christmas period.

Crowle Library will be open from 10am to 1pm on Christmas Eve; closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and 27 December; open from 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm on 28 December; open from 10am to 1pm on 29 December; closed on 30 December; open from 10am to 1pm on 31 December; closed on New Year’s Day; and then open as usual from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

Kirton-in-Lindsey Library will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and 27 December; open from 9.30am to 3pm on 28 December; open from 10am to 1pm on 29 December; closed on 30 December, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day; and then open as normal from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

Messingham Library will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and 27 December; open from 10 am to 12pm and 3pm to 7pm on 28 December; open from 10am to 12pm on 29 December; closed on 30 and 31 December, and New Year’s Day; and then open as usual from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

Park Library will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and 27 December; open from 1pm to 5pm on 28 December; open from 10am to 1pm on 29 December; closed on 30 December, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day; and then open as usual from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

Scunthorpe Central will be open from 9am to 2pm on Christmas Eve; closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day; open from 9am to 5pm on 27 and 28 December; open from 9am to 4pm on 29 December; closed on 30 December; open from 9am to 2pm on New Year’s Eve; closed on New Year’s Day; and then open as normal from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

Winterton Library will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day; open 1pm to 8pm on 27 December; open from 11am to 8pm on 28 December; open from 10am to 2pm on 29 December; closed on 30 and 31 December, and New Year’s Day; and then open as usual from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

The mobile library will run the route 31 service on Christmas Eve finishing at 12.30pm in Ulceby; it won’t be running on Christmas Day and Boxing Day; the routes on 27, 28 and 29 December will run as normal; route 11 on New Year’s Eve will end in Normanby at 1pm; and then it will return to normal from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

Register Office

The Register Office at will be open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 22 December; closed on Christmas Eve but contactable by telephone between 9am and 12pm; closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day; open from 9am to 4pm on 27 and 28 December; open from 10am to 4pm on 29 December; open from 9am to 2pm on New Year’s Eve; closed on New Year’s Day; and then open as normal from Wednesday 2 January 2019.

Waste and recycling

Bin and box collections in North Lincolnshire will change from Monday 17 December 2018 for four weeks over the Christmas period. Check your collection calendar carefully to make sure you don’t miss bin day over Christmas.

You can also check your dates online.

Our household recycling centres will be open as normal each day, apart from Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Our recycling centres in Winterton, Goxhill and Belton will open an extra day on Thursday 27 December, from 10am to 4pm.

CallConnect bus service

The CallConnect bus will run on Saturday 22 December as normal; from 8am to 6pm on Christmas Eve; the service won’t be running on Christmas Day and Boxing Day; on the 27, 28, 29 and 31 December from 8am to 6pm; and will run as normal from Wednesday 2 January 2019. Please be aware the service does not run on Sundays or bank holidays.
