The North Lincolnshire Community Champion Awards go from strength to strength each year with the support of local businesses.

Without the sponsorship of North Lincolnshire businesses, the Community Champion Awards would not be possible.

New to this year’s awards sponsors is S Smith & Co Accountants. They are sponsoring Young Sports Achiever of the Year Award. Natalie Lynskey from S Smith & Co Accountants, said:

“We have decided to sponsor the Young Sports Achiever of the Year Award to recognise the success of younger individuals within our community. Often we hear of much negativity surrounding not only the area, but the country as a whole. It is wonderful to be taking part in an event to appreciate the hard work and achievements of local heroes.”

Nominate your Community Champions online.

If you are not able to nominate online, call 01724 297000 during office hours or email community.recreation@northlincs.gov.uk for a form.

The closing date for nominations is 30 September 2019. More details can be found on the Community Champion Awards page.

The 2019 Community Champion Awards is taking place on Thursday 28 November at The Baths Hall in Scunthorpe.

Cllr John Briggs, Chair of the Community Champions Award Committee, said:

“It is fantastic that so many local businesses pledge their support for the Community Champion Awards. This shows the commitment they have to their communities and how much they recognise the Community Champion Awards.

“I would like to thank each and every one of them for their continued support and welcome S Smith & Co Accountants to the Community Champion Awards family.

“Nominations are open for this year’s awards to recognise individuals and community groups for their achievements. Please make sure you nominate them to highlight the amazing things they do.”
