Breeze Champions in North Lincolnshire have organised a 12 hour cycle challenge on 29 June to raise money for Prevent Breast Cancer and are encouraging others to get involved.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK.

Breeze is British Cycling’s national program of fun, free bike rides for women of all abilities. Breeze North Lincolnshire will be offering six 22 mile bike rides to support the charity. A £3 donation per ride is suggested, which will be donated entirely to the charity. This will be payable in cash on the day.

The charity rides will vary in speed to encourage as many people as possible to join in the fun. There will be a Graceful Green ride (nine to 11 mph) at 1pm and 5pm, Blazing Blue ride (11mph to 13mph) at 7am, 11am and 3pm and a Pacey Purple ride (13mph+) at 9am. With all Breeze rides, no one will be left behind.

Clayton’s Corner Café in Howsham have kindly offered to host for the day, so there will be ‘Breezers’ there throughout the day in between rides.

To book on one or more of the rides log onto the Let’s Ride website, search Brigg and select the ride/s you want to book. You are welcome to do as many as you wish.

Prevent Breast Cancer are passionate about stopping the disease before it starts. They promote healthier lifestyles and early diagnosis. It is the only UK charity funding ground-breaking research solely aimed at preventing breast cancer for future generations.
