Monday 16 April 2018

rom today (Monday 16 April), North Lincolnshire Council highways teams will be concentrating on carrying out permanent repairs to roads, having repaired more 2,856 potholes in the last five weeks.

A dedicated reactive team will still be deployed to respond to emergency pothole repairs, while other crews will be repairing larger stretches of road.

From Monday 16 April, the teams will be repairing roads in the following areas:

  • Bottesford various streets

  • Barton

  • Barrow

  • Goxhill

  • North and South Killingholme

Cllr Rob Waltham, leader, North Lincolnshire Council, said:

“I want to thank residents for reporting potholes and would encourage people to continue reporting them as it helps identify where they are and enables us to prioritise a programme of work for the week ahead.

“We have repaired almost 3,000 potholes now and are now concentrating on carrying out more permanent repairs. We will still be responding to urgent repairs and I would encourage people to continue to report potholes they come across, as this is really helpful to us.

“I think the vast majority of people understand that we are doing everything we can and I’d like to thank them for bearing with us while we carry out the repairs.”
