Changes to waste and recycling collections

Changes to residents' bin collections

Last updated; Tuesday 7 March 2018

Thank you to residents whose bins have were not collected last week for their patience, support and understanding.

We would like to apologise for this disruption to our collections but have prioritised our efforts to keep our major routes and main roads open.

If Wednesday, Thursday or Friday is your general waste bin day, please leave your bin out and we will return to collect it as soon as we can between Tuesday 6 and Friday 9 March.

To help us catch up with general waste collections, there will be no brown (garden waste) bin collections this week (week commencing 5 March). All other waste and recycling collections planned for this week are expected to take place as normal.

Unfortunately, we are unable to return to collect burgundy (plastics) or brown (garden waste) bins, or green and blue recycling boxes after last week's disruption. These will be collected as normal at your next scheduled collection.

We politely ask that residents put excess bagged household waste back in their bin once it has been emptied. Excess waste and recycling can also be taken to one of our Household Recycling Centres or Community Recycling Centres.
