  • maintain an overall TripAdvisor rating of at least four out of five

  • have a minimum number of reviews

  • have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least twelve months

Examples of visitor’s reviews on TripAdvisor:

Normanby Hall Country Park

  • “Our family love it here. It has an adventure playground, beautiful grounds, with deer. We've been on various occasions and there are always activities for the kids - treasure hunts etc. The old hall offers a great snippet of history. We often take a picnic and our trikes and bikes. There is a restaurant also. In the summer the splashpad area is fabulous for the kids. It's brilliant and the family annual pass is so reasonable and is paid for after two visits. A real treat.”

North Lincolnshire Museum

  • “Great museum, much larger than it looks and full of fascinating items. There is plenty here, from dinosaurs to the walk into the past, with an old kitchen, drawing room etc to look at. The trays of artefacts kept my daughter amused for hours. This is one of our favourite places to visit. There are often children's activities to do, and trails and quizzes. The main exhibition changes frequently and there are plenty of hands on activities. Free parking too.”

Normanby Hall Country Park is open to the public every day of the year and offers the perfect backdrop to your day out.

During the summer month’s families flock to the Splashpad to cool down. The Riggmoor petting farm will return to the park for the six week school summer holiday and will feature calves, sheep, goats and other animals, with daily 'meet the animals' activities taking place.

The Hall and the Farming Museum are only open throughout the summer months, but with award-winning gardens, ample wildlife, exciting events, or just a relaxing environment to enjoy a day out, there is plenty to keep you entertained all year round.

You can buy your Normanby Hall annual pass online or from the gift shop. Visit the Normanby Hall website for more details.

North Lincolnshire Council offers free admission into the museum; it’s a great day out for people of all ages. It features a range of permanent galleries and a changing exhibition gallery, a history experience for all the family.

The recently opened galleries at the museum, Jurassic Sea and Steel Town, are a must see. They delve into the interesting history of North Lincolnshire and give children the opportunity to discover new things about the area they live in.

Cllr Carl Sherwood, cabinet member for Community Wellbeing, said:

“This is a brilliant achievement. Huge congratulations to all the staff at Normanby Hall and the Museum. The reviews on TripAdvisor are extremely positive and highlight all the great things that both attractions have to offer.

“If you are looking for something to do this summer to keep the kids entertained, Normanby Hall and the Museum have plenty to do and see.”
