The council will be installing a speed hump on Cross Street in Crowle following concerns raised by residents about speeding along this road.
Working with residents on Cross Street and surrounding areas, the council decided that the best option would be to remove the current speed cushions on Cross Street and install a speed hump.
The speed hump will be installed on Sunday 7 August. The hump will be in the same location as the cushions but will span the majority of the width of the road.
Cllr John Briggs, ward member for Axholme North, said:
“I was contacted by residents on Cross Street in Crowle as they were concerned about speeding vehicles. They didn’t feel the speed cushions were having an effect on speeding drivers.
“Working with the council’s highways team we have now found a solution that will hopefully alleviate any problems and give residents peace of mind.
“The speed hump will be installed in the same place as the cushions but will cover almost the width of the road – making it more difficult for vehicles to go over these at speed
