North Lincolnshire Council is inviting good local causes, charities and community groups to find out how the new Lincs Lotto can benefit them on Wednesday 30 August at Crowle Market Hall at 6pm.
We are looking for local good causes to benefit from Lincs Lotto. The good causes could be local charities, community groups, parish councils or sports clubs, and will receive 50 per cent of the proceeds from lottery ticket sales. A further 10 per cent of ticket sales will go to further support good causes through our Community Grant Fund.
Lincs Lotto players will be able to choose which good local cause they want to support when they purchase their tickets and 50 pence from every ticket bought will go directly to their chosen cause. There is a one in 50 chance of winning a prize, plus a jackpot of £25,000.
The first Lincs Lotto draw will take place on Saturday 30 September. Tickets for the draw cost £1 each and are available to buy online on the Lincs Lotto website.
So far, 93 good local causes have applied to Lincs Lotto and we want to reach 100! 61 have been approved so far.
If you are a good local cause and interested in attending the event in Crowle, you can contact Rachel Johnson on 01724 296391 or email firstname.lastname@example.org, or just turn up.
Cllr. John Davison, cabinet member for business, transformation and finance, said:
“We believe we are the only council in the Humber region to set up our own lottery scheme – a fantastic way to raise money for local communities.
“This event provides a great opportunity for our local good causes to find out how they can get involved in Lincs Lotto and benefit from it.
“The event is specifically intended to attract our local North Lincolnshire good causes, and attendees will be able to find out how the Lincs Lotto can benefit their organisation, help them raise money, and increase their profile in the region.”
