For King and Country exhibition 'First World War in North Lincolnshire’
Exhibition

The North Lincolnshire Museum is commemorating 100 years since the outbreak of the First World War. The exhibition focuses on the experiences of local people both on the Front Line and back home in Britain. It will also include a display looking at how the sacrifice of local men and women was recognised in the form of war memorials all over the region

Come and see the impact the local landowning family the Elwes’s had on places such as Brigg, Wrawby and Roxby.  Find out about the legacy left by the famous singer Gervase Elwes as well as other important family members which have included Bishops, painters and Hollywood actors.

Mystery object day

Handle real museum objects! Each week a Museum Assistant will be on hand to help visitors investigate mystery objects from the collection.

Friday 17 July

Tots’ time, 1.30pm
Free under fives drop in session. Parents and toddlers can enjoy creative play. Handle objects, get messy and sing along.

Running every Friday during term time only, healthy refreshments available.

Saturday 18 July and Sunday 19 July

Artyfact time 10.30am until 3.30pm on Saturdays and 1.30pm until 3.30pm on Sundays. Find Dudley the bear hidden in the Museum and discover facts about the Museum’s objects. Take part in transport themed craft activities to take home.
Ideal for three to ten years. We also provide a small activity for under fives.

Monday 20 July

Reminiscence Trails- available all day

Let the museum trail spark off your oldest and fondest memories of life in the local area. Reminisce using the objects and collections in this activity suitable for the over 50s.

Family Garden Fete

A fun packed day boasting an assortment of activities and events. Free Entry 10:30am-3:30pm. Come along to enjoy some family fun including traditional games and children’s crafts, local performances and traditional rides. Take a look at a range of different craft stalls.

Scunthorpe Art Group Society outdoors exhibition
Come and visit the Museum Society Art Group out door exhibition.  Located underneath the trees next to the Museum making it and interesting and unusual way to view the artwork.
